Waiting for the Hurricane

from Eve's Peacock by Pandev

/

about

With a little help from my Friends: Max Leduc- 12-string, Alain Leduc - Electric guitars & Laurent Di Tommaso - Drums... I play Bass on this one.

lyrics

A hurricane, ain’t no moonshine on River Creek
Clouds dancin’ like the Devil’s mane
Salt water creepin’ up to yer feet
Muscle Shoals is flooded, ain’t a note than can break free
‘Cept the scream of the winds howlin’ in from the sea

Nowhere to hide, no escapin’ the rising tide
Power is out and the lines are down
Isolatin’ every little country town
Boarded Windows and locked doors
Won’t stop the water seepin’ in through the floorboards

People huddled in town halls
Waitin’ for the winds and waters to fall
Wonderin’ how long this one will last
Ain’t their first hurricane and by far it ain’t their last

Oceans are up, ice caps meltin’ down
Currents run amok
As many jewels in Lucifer’s crown
Greed and unconsciousness both are faring well
Drivin’ the whole world and damin’ it to hell

People huddled in town halls
Waitin’ for the winds and waters to fall
Why can’t Power feel their pain
Without action it’ll happen again and again and again…
